Two-Phase Rebrand for a Growing, Then Reimagined, Behavioral Health Practice

Project overview

We led two distinct rebranding initiatives for a behavioral health practice as its business model evolved, first building a brand identity to support the organization’s growth, then leading a complete rebrand when leadership made the decision to scale the practice back and center it entirely around the founder’s personal brand.

Project Details

We partnered with a well established behavioral health practice located in the DMV area, through two very different chapters of its business. The first engagement focused on building a brand identity to support the organization as a growing practice, developing a visual identity, messaging, and brand assets designed to position it for expansion and broader community reach.

As the practice evolved, its leadership made a significant business decision: to simplify. Rather than continuing to grow as a multi-provider organization, the founder chose to scale the practice back to focus solely on her own work, leveraging her personal expertise and reputation rather than an institutional brand. This shift required a complete rebrand, not a refresh, one that moved away from an organizational identity and toward a brand built around the founder herself.

For this second phase, we led a full visual identity and brand refresh, along with website copywriting and content reorganization to translate the practice’s original site structure into one that reflected its new, founder-centered direction. We also provided design for the new site, working closely with the practice’s separate website management partner to ensure the new brand translated accurately into the live build. Our role was scoped specifically to branding, messaging, and design, not site development itself.

Beyond the visual and messaging deliverables, this engagement gave the practice’s leadership clarity. Working through the rebrand process surfaced important business questions and decisions that hadn’t yet been addressed, helping the founder move forward with a clearer sense of direction for the practice’s next chapter.

Now that you've seen how we support behavioral health practices through brand evolution,
whether scaling up or simplifying down, let's discuss how we can support your rebranding efforts.
