From Outdated to Modern: A Website Redesign Built for Church and Community Life

Project overview

We redesigned and developed a new website for Sweet Home – The Pinnacle of Praise, replacing an outdated, non-responsive site with a modern, user-friendly platform that reflects the congregation’s beliefs, streamlines member services, and better connects with the local community.

Project Details

Sweet Home – The Pinnacle of Praise came to us with a website that no longer served their congregation or their community. The existing site had been built and maintained by someone without a web design or development background, resulting in pixelated images, content added as static images rather than real, readable text, poor navigation, and a non-responsive design that didn’t work well on mobile devices. It was time for a fresh start.

We approached the redesign with a focus on usability, accessibility, and community connection. Working closely with church leadership, we rebuilt the site from the ground up, applying modern UI/UX best practices to create a clean, intuitive experience for both longtime members and first-time visitors. Every piece of content was rebuilt as real, readable text rather than static images, improving both the visitor experience and the site’s search visibility.

Beyond the visual redesign, we streamlined several key member and believer services directly into the site, including membership information, prayer requests, and baby dedications, making it easier for the congregation to engage with the church digitally. We also integrated giving and donation functionality and built out an events feature to help the church promote services, community events, and gatherings more effectively.

Once the new site was complete, we handed off full management to the church’s internal team, providing a management guide and hands-on training so they could confidently maintain and update the site moving forward. While we no longer manage the site directly, we were proud to give Sweet Home – The Pinnacle of Praise a digital home that truly reflects who they are and better serves their community.
